UK - The Poison Sky, part 2 of the current Doctor Who story, premieres at 6:20PM BST tonight on BBC One (Saturday), with the 45 minute Doctor Who Confidential on BBC Three at 7:05PM. If you miss it, do not panic. BBC Three airs The Poison Sky Sunday at 8PM and Friday at 9PM BST. UK residents can also use their computers, Nintendo Wiis connected to the internet, or Virgin Media Cable to access the BBC iPlayer and see the episode anytime in the next week. So, how do they get out of last week's cliffhanger?

Next week, BBC One airs Doctor Who Saturday the 10th at 6:45PM BST, with the 45 minute Confidential on BBC Three at 7:30PM. The repeats are at the same times - BBC Three Sunday the 11th at 8PM and Friday the 16th at 9PM. The Sunday repeat is followed by a 45 minute repeat of Confidential instead of the usual 15 minute version. The 15 minute version will air after the Friday repeat.

USA - SciFi USA http://www.scifi.com has put preliminary June schedule information on their website. Sarah Jane Adventures will not air in June - the last episode premieres on May 30, with Canadian/South African triple universe saga "Charlie Jade" airing at 8PM from June 6, making its US premiere. Doctor Who Series 4 airs all 4 weeks with new episodes at 9PM and 11PM Eastern, paired with Battlestar Galactica (new) on June 6 and 13 and Stargate SG-1 (repeats) on June 20 and 27. Series 3 continues at 5AM EDT Fridays. One Series 2 marathon on Thursday June 19 - 8 episodes from 8AM EDT.

The SciFi broadcasts should improve for the next few weeks. Partners In Crime and The Fires Of Pompeii were over 48 minutes long each, and SciFi edits to about 44 minutes, so important and interesting bits were cut from the episodes to fit SciFi's time slot (including the final scene in Fires Of Pompeii). Planet Of The Ood (SciFi airing on May 9) is under 44 minutes, The Sontaran Stratagem (May 16) is about 44 1/2 minutes, and it looks like the next few episodes beyond will be about 45 minutes long. So - the next few episodes should be either unedited or experience much less editing. Expect a better viewing experience heading forward.

Hungary - Series 2 repeats slipped back on the air on RTL Klub Saturdays at 12:50PM.

Africa/Middle East - The Showtime Arabia satellite service will begin airing Series 3 on Friday May 30 (multiple airings each week) on Showseries 1 and Showseries Extra. They are starting with Smith And Jones.

Australia - UKTV is doing a weekday run of Doctor Who Confidential Series 1 (but not Doctor Who) in the 6:45AM time slot.

USA - BBC America http://www.bbcamerica.com starts a weekday repeat run of new Who at 6PM and 3AM EDT from May 12. BBC America has the right to air the first 3 series (41 episodes).

Series 1 is currently available to public TV stations in a package until February 28, 2009. Series 2 is currently available to public TV stations in a package until March 31, 2010. At this time, stations do not have access to Series 3 and 4.

5 Public TV stations currently have rights to air the classic Doctor Who run (1963-1989). Iowa Public TV is currently airing both Series 2 and Peter Davison episodes. Maryland Public TV is airing Series 1 while resting classic Who. KBTC 28 Tacoma, WA and WCET 48 Cincinnati, OH are airing Tom Baker episodes while resting Series 1. WHRO 15 Norfolk, VA is airing Tom Baker episodes but apparently does not have New Who Series rights.

Three stations have, to the best of our knowledge, used all their rights to the Series 1 package - WLVT 39 Allentown, PA, WILL 12 Urbana, IL, Iowa Public TV, and Idaho Public TV. If they air Series 1 again, then that means they re-bought the package. OETA Oklahoma is currently on their 4th and presumably final cycle of Series 1. WMFE 24 Orlando, FL did not renew Doctor Who for a second series and is not expected to return it to their schedule. If any other stations have made similar determinations, they have yet to let us know.
