As of noon Pacific time today, October 2, all tickets to Gallifrey One 2020 are now SOLD OUT. Our sincerest thanks to all of you who purchased convention tickets in advance this year!
Great things are coming, as we count down the weeks until we launch on next February:
Ticket resales — formerly called transfers — will begin at a later date, to be announced. Resales are allowed by Gallifrey One so that current ticket holders who cannot make the convention in February can resell their tickets to others, at the same price they originally paid, with certain restrictions. All resales are done independently between the ticket holder and the buyer; the ticket holder then lets Gallifrey One know about the transaction (through an online form that will open on the day resales launch). We will also open up a separate Facebook group for resales, for people looking to sell or looking for tickets. More details soon!
Photo op pre-orders for Mr. Eccleston as well as Diamond passes and the VIP talk are on sale currently at the Convention Photo Shoots website, linked below. Closer to the convention will be everything else: all the other photo ops, evening reception tickets and the annual TARDIS Tag add-on package (which includes select autographs & photos and other perks).
Hotel Accommodations: Our additional discount room block did indeed sell out within moments last Friday. (For those wondering, no, there were no mass bookings; we work with the Marriott LAX to make sure that hotel room reservations match registered ticket holders.) We know there is some frustration with this first-come first-served process, but it’s the only way to be fair to everyone. Rest assured there are MANY hotels within an easy 5-minute walk from the Marriott … and if you really want to stay in the Marriott, regular-rate rooms are still available. More details on the Hotel Accommodations page.
We meant it when we said “many more guests to be announced.” We’re already working on our next batch, which will include some really cool behind-the-scenes guests as well as additional DW actors and local talent… we can’t tell you when that next announcement will be, though, so stay tuned.
Our program participant & panelist entry form is still open. The deadline for submissions is October 31. If you want to suggest programming or participate on the program IN ANY WAY other than as a standard convention attendee, you need to fill in the form, linked on the Programming Questionnaire page.
Our Art Show is about 80% sold out for display; if you’re interested in getting your work into the Art Show, you need to take care of this very soon (see the Art Show page for details).
If there is any breaking news to report in the next couple months, we’ll be sure to share it here, on Twitter and on our website; regular updates usually commence about two months prior to the convention (so, mid-December). Meanwhile, many of us working on Gallifrey One are currently busy on the World Fantasy Convention at the end of October, also at the Marriott LAX (check it out at wfc2019.org) so things should be pretty quiet until then.
As much as we put into this convention, we simply cannot do it without all of YOU, our attendees. Rest assured we have a ton of great stuff coming: new guests, amazing programming, special events and more. If you have questions, feel free to contact us. See you in February!
