Convention online/by-mail pre-registration for Gallifrey 2012 is now CLOSED.
Registration for the convention will reopen at 10:00am on February 17, 2012.
We hope you will join us for Gallifrey One's Network 23, also known as Gallifrey 2012, the 2012 North American Doctor Who Celebration convention in Los Angeles, February 17-19, 2012. Please note that we have now closed pre-registration as of January 31. All registration must now be done on-site at the convention.
New member registration will open at 10:00am on Friday, Feburary 17, 2012 at the registration desk on the lower floor of the Marriott Los Angeles Airport (the convention center). You will be asked to fill out a registration form; upon completion, visit the registration desk for payment. At the convention we accept CASH, PERSONAL CHECK, MASTERCARD and VISA. Checks payable to Gallifrey One.
As noted above, prices at the door are $90 for a full adult weekend registration, or $35 for a teen (age 12-17) full weekend registration. For individual one-day registration, prices at the door are $40 for either Friday or Sunday only, $50 for Saturday only, and $25 for teen (age 12-17) one-day registration. Children ages 11 and under accompanied by a paid adult are always free.
If you have already registered at the convention prior to the event: you will NOT receive tickets in the mail; all you need to do is pick up your membership badge upon arrival at convention registration to be allowed access to all events. Please bring photo identification to the registration desk to pick up your badge.
Pre-registered members will be able to pick up their badges for a short time on Thursday evening; keep checking the website for hours (likely to be approximately 4pm-7pm). You can also pick up your badge any time after 10:00am on Friday when general registration opens.
If you would like to check your membership status, to see if you are registered, click on the Current Member List link at the top of this page. We update this page periodically (note the "as of" date); registering via mail can take longer to add you to the list.
Fan run conventions like ours budget for our expenses every year based on convention pre-registration; therefore, when you register for the convention, the funds you provide are allocated immediately... for things like guest expenses (air travel & hoteling), publications, technical expenses (lighting and sound) and other stuff that makes our event unique (like ribbons, signs and decoration). Refunding memberships may make us fall short of our expectations and our contracts, causing considerable financial concerns. Therefore, Gallifrey One has the following policy set; we ask that you understand this prior to registration:
Refunds: We do not issue refunds. All sales are final.
Membership Transfers: We allow membership transfers with no restrictions; you can request a membership in your name be transferred to another person, provided the transfer is initiated by the person who currently owns the membership. At the time of transfer, we need both the name of the owner as well as the new person's name. (Sorry, we will not locate a person to transfer to/sell to for you.)
Membership Deferral: We do not defer memberships from one year to another, except on a case by case basis in extreme emergency situations such as medical emergencies or "acts of God" (and only if the request is made ahead of time; we will not do so after the convention!)
